Founding Brand Program
Five brands. One chance to shape how it works.
OptiWMS is a warehouse management system built for Shopify Plus apparel brands. The product is built and we are taking on five founding brands to run their warehouse operations through it before the public launch.
The founding brands get direct input on the product roadmap. Their specific workflows shape what ships next. Any process their warehouse runs that OptiWMS does not yet handle cleanly moves to the top of the build list.
Apply to join the programWhat this actually involves
The founding brand program runs for 30 days from go-live. During that period, your team runs real warehouse operations through OptiWMS - receiving stock, picking and packing Shopify Plus orders, creating carrier labels at the pack station, and dispatching. Direct access to the founder throughout.
At the end of 30 days, you decide whether OptiWMS stays. If it does, you move to the standard pricing plan (locked at the rate that was live when you joined). If it does not, no charge.
What you get
- ✓30-day go-live period at no cost
- ✓Direct founder contact for any operational issue - answered in a real conversation, typically same business day
- ✓Your specific workflows prioritised on the build roadmap
- ✓Preferred pricing locked for 12 months once you convert to a paid plan
- ✓Your account number reserved among the first five OptiWMS customers
What we need from you
- →A Shopify Plus store shipping at least 500 orders a month
- →A warehouse your team picks and packs from - a 3PL account is not a fit for this program
- →Willingness to use OptiWMS as the primary WMS for the full 30-day period
- →Honest feedback on what works and what does not
- →A one-paragraph summary of your experience at the end if OptiWMS delivered
What is in the product now
Every capability listed below is in the production build today.
Pick and pack workflows
Create pick waves for single orders or batches. Pickers use the browser-based mobile interface on any phone or tablet. Orders route through a serpentine pick path matched to your warehouse zone layout.
Receiving and put-away
Create purchase orders, receive against them on the floor, flag discrepancies and inspection holds, and put stock away to bin locations. Every receipt creates a ledger entry.
Inventory by variant
On-hand, allocated, and available quantities per colour and size per warehouse location in real time. Know exactly what is pickable before a wave starts.
Shopify integration
New orders land in your pick queue within seconds of a customer checking out. When an order is dispatched, the fulfilment status pushes back to Shopify automatically.
Carrier label fetching
OptiWMS connects directly to your own carrier accounts (Australia Post, DHL Express, FedEx, UPS), creates the shipment, and generates the shipping label at pack time. Your existing carrier relationships and negotiated rates carry through.
OptiWMS Print Hub
A small desktop app that runs on the pack bay PC and drives your thermal printer directly. Pairs to your account with a QR code scan. Label printing is included in the subscription at any volume.
Cycle counts and returns
Schedule and run cycle counts from the mobile interface. Receive customer returns, grade condition, and restock or quarantine from the same floor workflow.
Reporting
Eight built-in reports covering pick rates, wave completion times, inventory ageing, sell-through, days of supply, and supplier on-time delivery. Read them on screen or download a CSV.
What the first week looks like
Connect and import
Import your product catalogue via CSV: export from Shopify admin or your current system, map the columns once, and upload. Variants sharing a style code are grouped into a single product. Connect your Shopify Plus store from the integrations settings page so new orders land in your pick queue. Set up your warehouse zones and bin locations (typically under two hours for a single warehouse), then enter opening stock against each bin as you map it.
First pick wave
Run your first pick wave on live Shopify Plus orders. Your team picks via the mobile browser interface on the same phones or tablets they already use.
Pack bay and printing
Install the Print Hub on the pack bay PC by scanning a QR code from your account portal. Connect to your thermal printer. At pack time, OptiWMS creates the shipment on your own carrier account, generates the shipping label, and queues it to print.
Full cycle running
Orders landing from Shopify, picked from bin locations, packed with carrier labels, dispatched, and status updated in Shopify. Receiving the next supplier shipment through the inbound workflow.
A fit if
- ✓You run a Shopify Plus apparel brand shipping 500 to 50,000 orders a month from your own warehouse
- ✓Your team picks orders by hand, receives supplier shipments into racked locations, and uses a thermal printer on the pack bay
- ✓You are either on a WMS that is slow, costly, or more complex than your operation needs, or running the warehouse on spreadsheets and memory
- ✓You ship from Australia or the US (Australia Post covers domestic Australia, and DHL Express, FedEx, and UPS handle international and overseas-domestic shipping)
Not a fit if
- ×You fulfil through a 3PL and have no physical warehouse your team works in
- ×You need a multi-currency 3PL billing engine or EDI compliance
- ×Your carrier is not Australia Post, DHL Express, FedEx, or UPS (talk to us about a custom carrier integration before signing up)
