Australian prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Businesses outside Australia pay in US dollars, at the same price converted. Plans differ only in how many orders you ship a month. If you sell on Shopify, your plan is billed on your Shopify invoice in US dollars and you choose it on Shopify's plan page for OptiWMS; otherwise OptiWMS invoices you directly.

Common questions

Plans and billing

How many users are included?
As many as you need, on every plan. Each person gets their own login, and logins are not shared. There is no fee per user.
Why does OptiWMS cost less than other warehouse systems?
OptiWMS is new. It is built on a current stack with no legacy code to maintain, so the price pays for the product you use. Behind it are thousands of hours of scoping, written requirements and testing: each feature was specified before it was built and tested before it was released. Security is part of the design. Each organization's data is kept apart inside the database, store and shipping platform keys are stored encrypted, an organization can require two-factor sign-in for everyone, and every stock movement is recorded with who made it and when.
How am I billed?
It depends on where you sell. If you sell on Shopify, OptiWMS is billed on your Shopify invoice: you choose your plan on the plan page Shopify shows for OptiWMS, Shopify collects the payment with your other apps, and you change plans there whenever you like. If you sell on WooCommerce or BigCommerce, OptiWMS invoices you directly. The plans, prices and trial are the same either way; only who sends the bill differs. You can start from this website or by installing the OptiWMS app in your Shopify store, and the billing follows the store you connect.
How quickly does support reply?
Email [email protected], or use Contact support in the app's Help menu. Within 3 hours of your message, a person on our team sends you a first reply, whenever you write, every day including weekends and public holidays. The promise covers that first reply; fixing the problem can take longer. Every plan gets this same support, and so does the free trial.
What counts as an order?
Each order that OptiWMS packs counts once, in the calendar month you pack it. Canceled orders do not count, and neither do orders you ship outside OptiWMS. An order that is split into several parcels, or packed as part of a batch, still counts once.
What happens if I go over my plan?
Going over never stops your warehouse. We tell you when you reach 80% and again at 100% of your plan for the month. One busy month changes nothing. If you go over your plan two months in a row, you move up one plan at your next renewal, and we email you 14 days before it happens.
Do the prices include GST?
Yes. Prices in Australian dollars include GST.
Can I use OptiWMS outside Australia?
Yes. Businesses outside Australia are billed in US dollars: US$40, US$95, US$250, US$910 a month for the four plans, with the same order allowances and every feature. Guided onboarding is US$349. Check that we connect to your store and shipping platform (see Integrations below) before you start.
Is there a discount for paying annually?
Yes. Pay for a year up front and you get two months free, so a year costs the same as ten months on the monthly price.
Can I cancel?
Yes, anytime. On Shopify, cancel the OptiWMS plan from the plan page or uninstall the app; access runs to the end of the period you have paid for. If OptiWMS invoices you, email us and we close the account at the end of that period. Either way you can export your data before you go.
What is guided onboarding?
An optional one-off service for $499 including GST (US$349 outside Australia), for merchants who want setup done with them. It is a setup session of up to two hours with us over video. We import your warehouse locations, products and opening stock (up to 5,000 products; larger catalogs are quoted), connect your store, shipping platform and OptiWMS app, and give your team thirty minutes of picking and packing training. After your first week of live orders we follow up with a call. You can ask for it when you start your trial or later.
What if I ship more than 20,000 orders a month?
Talk to us and we will price a plan to your volume. It includes every feature, like every other plan.

The free trial

How does the free trial work?
The trial lasts 14 days and includes every feature. You do not need a card to start. Request a trial on this site, or install the OptiWMS app in your Shopify store, and we set up your trial account and email you within one business day. To keep going after the trial, choose the plan that matches your monthly orders: on Shopify's plan page for OptiWMS if you sell on Shopify, or by replying to our email if OptiWMS invoices you.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. OptiWMS never asks for a card. On Shopify, the plan you choose is charged to your Shopify account after the trial, like your other apps; if OptiWMS invoices you, the first invoice comes after the trial. Stop during the trial and nothing is charged; your data is deleted within 30 days.

Getting started

How long does setup take?
Most of the work is mapping your warehouse locations and importing your products, so plan on a few hours for a single warehouse. The steps that depend on other people take longest: getting your shipping platform credentials in hand, and installing the OptiWMS app on a locked-down pack-bench PC.
Do you migrate data from our existing WMS?
Your product catalog comes across via CSV import: export it from your current system or store admin, map the columns once, and upload. Open sales orders can be brought in the same way. On-hand counts are entered as you location-map each bin during setup, which doubles as a stock take. We do not connect to your old WMS directly, because every WMS exports differently, so historical order data stays where it is.

Integrations and data

Which platforms and carriers do you support?
Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce connect out of the box, and eBay is coming soon. Any other store connects through the OptiWMS API: your developer sends orders and products to OptiWMS, and OptiWMS sends back stock levels, shipments and tracking. The developer documentation is public. For shipping, OptiWMS connects to the platform you already run (Shippit, Starshipit or ShipStation) on your own carrier accounts, and books or buys the label at pack time. Through those platforms you reach Australia Post for domestic Australia and DHL, FedEx or UPS for international. If you ship through a different platform, contact us to confirm support before signing up.
Is there a mobile app?
There is no app to install. Warehouse-floor operations (pick, pack, receive, lookup) run in a browser-based progressive web app (PWA) that works on any phone or tablet. The desktop OptiWMS app is a separate native app just for managing thermal printers.
Is our data secure, and can we get it out?
Tenant data is isolated at the database level, so one tenant cannot access another. You can export your inventory and order data as CSV at any time, and all data is deleted within 30 days of cancellation.
